Embedded Control Laboratory

An Embedded Systems Laboratory provides hands-on experience in designing, programming, and testing embedded systems using microcontrollers and development boards. It enables students to interface sensors, displays, communication modules, and actuators while implementing real-time control applications. The lab also helps develop practical skills in hardware debugging, software development, and system integration.

AT89552 8051 Microcontroller


This development board is used to learn and develop embedded system applications. It consists of an AT89S52 microcontroller, a 16×2 LCD, a 4×4 keypad, LEDs, a buzzer, and input/output ports. It is used to interface sensors, motors, and other electronic devices. The board is widely used in instrumentation and automation experiments for programming and hardware testing.

STM32 Nucleo Development Board


The STM32 Nucleon development board is a microcontroller-based platform designed for learning and developing embedded applications. It features an STM32 ARM Cortex-M microcontroller and includes an onboard ST-LINK debugger/programmer for easy programming and debugging. The board supports Embedded C programming using STM32CubeIDE and other development tools. It provides multiple peripherals such as GPIO, ADC, UART, SPI, I²C, PWM, and timers for interfacing with external devices.Its Arduino-compatible headers also allow easy expansion with various hardware modules.

ZedBoard


The ZedBoard is used to develop and test embedded systems by combining ARM processor software with FPGA hardware. It supports custom digital circuit design, high-speed data processing, and hardware acceleration. It also interfaces with peripherals such as sensors, displays, and communication modules, making it ideal for prototyping and research.
